Winters Mental Health and Consulting (WMHC) remains committed to the safety of the populations we serve. In response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic, WMHC will follow the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the state of Louisiana as related to containment of the novel (new) virus. Currently, the CDC is advising individuals with a higher susceptibility to COVID-19 to avoid unnecessary travel. 

 

One of CDC’s guidelines is the usage of Telehealth tools to provide care to those who already have a new or existing relationship with their behavioral health therapist. WMHC currently has the resources to provide Telehealth services to all existing clients. All clients will be contacted to ensure their portal for Telehealth is available. Clients may elect to receive their services online if they are uncomfortable coming to the office.

 

Our office will be open on a limited basis and we will follow the proper guidelines to ensure the safety of our staff and clients. We ask that no one come to the office if they have symptoms or have been in contact with anyone who has a fever over 100 degrees, has an uncontrolled cough or difficulty breathing within the last three to five days. Anyone who falls into this category will receive their services online. As always we strive to provide quality services to everyone. ALL CLIENTS COMING TO THE OFFICE MUST WEAR MASKS THE ENTIRE TIME AND WILL BE SUBJECTED TO TEMPERATURE CHECKS. NO OTHER PEOPLE BESIDES THE CLIENTS WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE BUILDING.

Lafayette Parish continues to have active cases of COVID-19 and stricter actions may be taken to ensure the safety of the office staff and clients that we serve. We will post more updates as they become available.
